Urban Christmas Card Recycling, Plastic and Urban Consumption Patterns

Check out my Christmas card experiment. I recycled all my notes from the term by hand to make Christmas cards for my family, and documented it in this vlog in an attempt to explore alternatives to commercial cards and think about urban consumption patterns in contributing to festive waste. I referenced an Independent article, Jonathan Fink's works from an earlier post, a report by the University of Exeter and various discussions on plastics and urban plastic pollution in my vlog. I hope you enjoy it!

  1. This is great! You raise so many good points ranging from consumption patterns to biodiversity... The number of trees needed to feed the christmas card frenzy is quite shocking. I think we also tend to forget that recycling is also very energy-water consuming. In the age of internet, maybe this trend will fade away...?
