Biodiversity in the metropolis

Reflecting on themes from my urban geoengineering posts, energy savings and carbon sequestration aside, there are some clear cobenefits of planting urban forests for biodiversity.  It is interesting to see how afforestation CDR, be it green roofs or urban forests link with these ideas, demonstrating that some solutions kill many birds with one stone(although this probably isn't the greatest idiom to use in a post on biodiversity).
